9.5" Handwoven Botswana Bowl #40

This open basket was woven in the Okavango Delta region of Botswana using natural materials such as fibers from the mokola palm colored with vegetal dyes made from the bark and roots of trees sorghum husks and leaves. Baskets are woven using a coil technique and take many days to weeks to complete. Beautifully finished inside and out. Can be used on a table or as a wall decoration.

The traditional open bowls are used by women for winnowing grain.

Approximately 9.5" in diameter and 3" high.
