Dutch wax print fabrics originated in Holland, where the Dutch developed an industrial way to batik fabric. These fabrics were the first printed cottons to arrive in African communities and they are still loved today.
This fabric with a pinwheel pattern is produced by Julius Holland fabrics, and is embossed with a geometric pattern to give the fabric a three-dimensional flair. The photo of the unfolded fabric is shows one yard (36" x 45" wide).
Care: Machine or hand wash cold or warm with colored clothes. Do not bleach.
Because of the way that African fabric is packaged (folded on the approximate yard + or - 3%) we cut along the fold and consider it a yard. Sold by the yard or the 6-yd piece. One yard minimum. If you order more than one yard you will receive continuous yardage up to 6 yards.
