This Moroccan Ammonite comes from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco near the town of Rissani.
The Ammonite is skillfully handcrafted to show off one polished side of the fossil on its dark rock matrix as the support plate. You may display it on a table or furniture or place it on a stand.
The Ammonites were some of the most notorious ancient sea creatures. They inhabited the seas during the Denovian period (350 million years ago). This one also comes from the same Moroccan mountains.
Measures approximately 6" in Diameter and 7/8" High.
